| I work out of my studio at our farm in West Virginia, where the inspiration for most of my work is found close to home…historic sites, farms, animals, my neighbors and small local towns are often the subjects of my paintings. I paint with acrylics, usually on canvas and sometimes in miniature. The best description for my art, I suppose is, gentle, and usually, especially with the animal paintings, humorous. My paintings are shown in a number of places locally and some regional shows, at my studio and at our bed and breakfast, Cider Mill House. I have received a few awards, belong to a few societies, but what is most rewarding and important to me, is that moment when one of my paintings makes a connection with a viewer. I hope you will find something on this site that speaks to you too. |
