I work out of my studio at the family farm in West Virginia, where the inspiration for most of my work is found close to home…historic sites, farms, animals, my neighbors and small local towns.
I paint with acrylics, usually on canvas and sometimes in miniature. The best description for my art is friendly, gentle and sometimes humorous.
My paintings are shown in a number of places locally, at established regional shows, at my studio and at our bed and breakfast, Cider Mill House.
I have received a few awards, belong to a few societies, but what is most rewarding and important to me, is that moment when one of my paintings makes a connection with a viewer. I hope you will find something on this site that speaks to you too.
A hot day for artists at the North Mountain Arts Festival!
Our farm...and some days even my studio...is also home to 6 amazing Pygora goats (Angora Pygmy cross breed), about 25 Guinea Hens, 4 roosters, 5 hens and 30 or so head of contented, grass fed beef cattle.
